‘Making Headway’ was an exhibition featuring clients art work, ranging from sculpture to line drawings to group collages.
The Exhibition was on show for a week in St Peter Mancroft Chruch, kindly sponsored by Ashton’s Legal.
We had a private view, which involved a presentation from Angela our Senior Occupational Therapist, over 40 people attended the private view to see all of the clients great work, everyone was impressed with the skills clients created. We even had drinks and canapes handed out throughout the evening, and there was a lovely atmosphere.
One of the pieces that caught a lot of attention and praise was Dawn's hand collage. Dawn’s piece focused on her life after brain injury, the hand prints at the bottom of her piece resemble her life before brain injury then slowly rising up to symbolise the effect that her brain injury has had. The fingerprints represent stepping stones and help she has received whilst the words are a form of expression. Dawns piece is seen above the Headway banner.
