People can access a wide range of sessions that support in meeting personal aims, social rehabilitation and independence. Our opportunities are always developing, but examples of the types of sessions available include:
- Creative workshops
- Physical movement
- Independent living skills
We understand that there are many challenges following brain injury, and the Headway centres provide a relaxed and positive environment to meet other people with brain injury.
Our Occupational Therapist and team will work with you to identify personal aims and goals. We then look at activities that the person would like to do and that will support you to achieve your aims.
Some people choose to attend Headway sessions for a couple of days a week for several years, and other people may want support on a specific area for a very short period of time. There is no set approach as everyone is different and our support is tailored to the individual's wants and needs.
We have three centres where we hold our group sessions, and you can find out more about what is on offer at each location:
Please contact us if you would like to find out more. There is a charge for our community rehabilitation support service and we can help you look at funding options around accessing our support if needed.
