Headway Norfolk and Waveney, a local, independent charity dedicated to supporting individuals impacted by brain injury, is delighted to announce that it has received a generous grant from Garfield Weston Foundation. The funding will support Headway’s core service provision, including our Day Service (provided at seven centres across the region), our one-to-one Outreach, and our free Support Groups, all of which are delivered by our highly-trained Key Support Workers and our specialist Neuro Occupational Therapists.

Michael Kitching, CEO at Headway Norfolk and Waveney, commented: ‘We are extremely grateful to receive another generous gift from Garfield Weston Foundation, which will ensure that we can continue to make a transformative difference to the lives of local people impacted by brain injury. At Headway Norfolk and Waveney we subsidise all of our activities, with many offered at no cost to users, in order to continue to make them as accessible as possible. However, like many local charities, we are currently being impacted by the escalating cost of living, whilst trying to meet the rising need for our support. We feel truly honoured that Garfield Weston Foundation have enabled us to continue in our mission to bring the smiles back after brain injury, despite an increasingly challenging economic landscape.’
