"Headspace" Carer & Family Support Groups

It’s not just brain injury survivors that need support.

When a family member or someone close to you has a brain injury it can put a great strain on relationships and day to day life.

It helps to know that you’re not alone. There are people that understand what you’re going through.

We run monthly support groups for carers, family and friends. These give carers the chance to meet with people in similar situations, to find out more about the effects of brain injury and how to manage these as effectively as possible, and to discuss their personal experiences, challenges, feelings and emotions in a supportive environment.

My mum has found the group very beneficial. She can talk to other people in the same boat as her and have a conversation with someone who understands the challenges.
