Initial Assessment with written summary and recommendations

This usually takes place within your home so we can discuss and assess your needs in your own environment. This can be standalone assessment with a written summary and recommendations, or the initial part of a therapy support programme. If 10 subsequent sessions are clinically indicated and booked, the initial assessment price is refunded. Price: £225.

1:1 Therapy Sessions with an Occupational Therapist

These sessions will take place wherever is most appropriate, either at your home, one of our centres, or in the community. The focus of these sessions is dependent on what you want to achieve. They often include relearning skills such as independence with tasks in your home and community, and putting into practise techniques to manage the specific symptoms of brain injury you are finding challenging. We also offer advice and education to family and carers. £95* (usual duration up to 1 hour dependent on clinical indication. These sessions cannot be booked without a prior initial assessment).

1:1 Therapy Sessions with an Occupational Therapy Assistant (under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist)

In certain circumstances tools and strategies may benefit from repeated practise with one of our Occupational Therapy Assistants. We will discuss if this is suitable based on your goals and treatment plan. £60*

*Mileage cost at £0.45 per mile may apply depending on location of sessions.

NB: Although our Occupational Therapists are experienced practitioners in brain injury and have manual handling experience, we are not best placed to undertake complex manual handling assessments and equipment recommendations. We can however, support you in accessing this elsewhere.

Individual pricing for things not described above will be considered on an individual basis e.g. additional reports/referrals etc.

All above service options require up-front payment to confirm your booking. An invoice will be issued by email, and this allows you to pay by card (if you prefer to be invoiced by post and to make payment by cheque or bank transfer this option is also available). Please note that this is a VAT exempt service (VATHLT2310). Want to find out more? Email ot@headway-nw.org.uk for further information or to arrange a phone call with our team about this service.
